1.   Before we begin, I think we should learn some background information.  Let’s click on the links below in order to learn a little about the colonies.

2.   Next, you need to download and print your research worksheet.  Click on the link below to open the worksheet.  Once it is open click the printer icon at the top of the screen.

3.  Once you have the worksheet visit the sites listed below in order to learn more about each group of colonies.  Be sure to record information about each group of colonies and complete the research worksheet.

4.   Now that we know more about the colonies, where do you think you might like to live?  Go back to the learning center, grab a piece of paper and a pencil, and write at least four sentences about the reasons why you would like your family to move to that section of the New World.  When you finish follow the directions at the learning center, you will eventually return to complete the rest of the web quest.

 

 

5.   Welcome back!  Now that you know where you will live let’s look at where your parents will work once you arrive.  Let’s research some of the jobs in the colonies!  Using the worksheet and websites listed below; discover at least four of the cool jobs available in the colonies.  Remember to find out what tools they use.  After we finish with this part, there will be a fun game!

6.    Now that you have decided which job is right for you and your family, finish looking around at the sites listed below and then head back over to the learning center and write four sentences about the job you would like for your family and why.  Use your research sheet for reference in doing this.
