About The Artist

Margaret (Peg) Dillon, a native New Yorker, moved to Washington, DC in her teens, where she attended the National Art School and American University.

Peg married Edward (Ted) Dillon and the couple resided in Alexandra Virginia for the next thirty years, where they raised their three children.  During those busy years Peg continued to paint and refine her technique.  She attended workshops and classes with various artists in the Art League of Alexandria.

Peg has worked in various mediums but her passion is for oil on canvas or linen. She is a painter with an eye for detail revealed in her ingenuous use of color as well as a commanding sense of light.  Not limited to still lifes, Peg is also an accomplished painter of portraits and landscapes.

Peg and Ted retired to Woodstock, Virginia where she now paints full-time maintaining a studio in her home.

Art show patrons who are familiar with her work, look forward to seeing a “Peg Dillon” painting in area art shows and recognize her work as being outstanding for its professionalism as well as beauty.

Her work is in collections both corporate and private throughout the United States.
