Current Issues

1.      I would love to finish my school career here at Shepherd University with a degree in Health and Physical Education.

2.      I would enjoy teaching in West Virginia because the state needs teachers.

3.      I would need my degree, my Praxis scores in Physical Education and Health Education.

4.      I could join APHERD because it would allow me to have more experiences.  Hopefully, when I am in the field I will be able to learn of more.

5.      I would be open to experience any available that is around the area.

6.      I would enjoy going to grad school and getting my masters in administration.  I would enjoy working in a Board of Education later in my career.

7.      I am going to accept and collect any resource that will increase my knowledge in my area.  Any book containing first aid and health would be great references.

8.      I talked to a great friend of mine who is teaching now.  I enjoy talking to him about situations to help soak in information.  My mother has been in the Jefferson County system for 25+ years, and she is a wealth of information.

9.      I hope to graduate within two years.  I should not have any problems, but I need to pass the PPST.

10.   I think my weak areas in both Physical Education and Health Education would be my classroom management.  I feel that I am not ready for the classroom.  I also need more experience, but I am still in my education 320 class.

11.   I have not been in a position in which other students can evaluate me, but I can see where I need work.  I believe I could use more help with being in charge.  I’m still a bit intimidated in the classroom. In due time I believe I can break that barrier.
