The three most popular ski resorts surrounding the Washington D.C. metro area are Ski Liberty, Whitetail Ski Resort, and Roundtop Ski resort. Each of these slopes has a rang of trails ranging from beginner to advanced. All three of these slopes are good for beginners. Each resort has classes you can take on the mountain to help with your basic snow boarding skills, insuring your safer on the mountain and the safety of others

The above tail map gives you an idea of the difficulty range for the trails offered at Roundtop. The green slopes are easiest, the blue are a medium difficulty, the black single diamond slopes are hard, and double black diamond are for experts.
Ski Liberty:

Just the same as the previous map green are the easiest, blue are medium, single black diamond are hard, and double black are expert.
Whitetail Ski Resort:

Ski Whitetail is one of the best mountains for beginners. This mountain has a entire section dedicated for beginner slopes, and its hard slopes are much easier than those of other mountains.
