Kelly Clark is another innovative women snow boarder with many years of success in a variety of different snow boarding events. Kelly started snow boarding at the age of eight, and began competing professionally in 1999. In 2000 she became a member of the US snow board team. In 2002 she won the gold metal for women's half pipe during the winter olympic games. Since then she has not been able to capture another gold metal in the olympics, however, she continues to dominate most of the international competition for women snow boarders. Some of her most recent victory's include a first place win in the 2008 Chevy Grand Prix half pipe competition, a second place win in the 2008 winter X-Games, and a first place win in the 2007 New Zealand Open. With her drive to be number one and talent to match, I am sure Kelly Clark will continue to be a strong force in women's snow boarding for many years to come.
