This is a very unique place to see a shark because there is no major ocean. There is, however, a shark called the Bull Shark. This is a fresh water shark that swims up the Mississippi River in the deep murky waters and, yes, it attacks people! It is shocking to realize that there could be a shark swimming up a river. But there are, in fact, sharks in the Mississippi River. Additionally, there are other sharks that are along the coastline of Mississippi that have also been sighted such as the very common Sand Shark and the little Dogfish Shark. But there is more of a chance for a person to be hit by lighting than to even see a shark in Mississippi. This is because there is not much in the way of dinner for sharks in Mississippi. Most just go elsewhere so that they can get the dinner of their choosing. The most common shark is the fresh water capable BULL SHARK.
