Our Staging
In an effort to provide our customers with complete event production satisfaction though one phone call, Welsh Sound launched our Staging Division in 2007. Currently, this ever expanding section of our business, can provide two unique staging options to our clients, a 24’x 32’ Mobile Stage Trailer, with our without roof or a combination of our current inventory of 4x8 fixed height platforms that provide a raised stage for smaller event needs.
Portable Decking
Welsh Sound can provide decking in 4x8 section in 8, 16, and 24” rises. This decking is black surfaced with folding legs under it. The leg length is fixed and no adjustable, so with decking works best on hard, level surfaces like inside building or on pavement. If used over grass, it will need shimming to level it. This decking can also be used for FOH or Monitor Mix positions, drum risers, sales booths, etc. Each section weighs about 100 lbs and should be moved by two people.
Stage Trailer
The flagship of the Welsh Sound Staging Division, our TR-1 24 x 32 stage began service with us in 2006. The stage is towed to your event with one of our equipment trucks and needs a space that is about 50’ square clear of power lines, trees, and serious ground obstructions to set up. Once opened, this stage will provide a level deck about 3 feet tall with steps and a 16’ access ramp for equipment and people. It takes about 3 hours for us to set and level this stage and about 2 hours to strike it out and be back on the road. This stage also ships with two 4x8 drum risers 12” tall that can be put on the stage in any location. This stage is painted black and will have a black skirt on the front of it once it is placed.This stage was designed for outdoor use, but it can be used inside with no damage to your facility, all jacks and levelers have large pads as feet and we use soft material under them if trailer is used inside. It can easily fit though any door way that is at least 8’ wide by 13’tall.
Stage Roof
The stage can service your event by itself, but we recommend the addition of our 30’x40’ truss roof for the ultimate in event protection, performance comfort, and professional look to your event. Our roof is a white poly roof membrane stretched over professionally certified 20” Box Truss. This truss allows us to provide a location for lighting, banners, backdrops, advertising and speakers. Currently, our roof structure raised to a height of 16’ and provides full coverage of the entire stage trailer. Included in the roof rental is the backdrop of a black mesh scrim that provides a visual stop to the stage and allows equipment trucks and upcoming acts to assemble out of audience view.The roof is supported by 4 ground lift towers and will require and additional 4 hours to the load in and out time for install as well as removal.
