Aragorn

General Information: Aragorn led the Fellowship after Gandalf's fall in Moria. He was named King of the reunited kingdom and restored peace both within it's border's and beyond. He married Arwen, whom he had met at age twenty but was not permitted to marry her until he claimed his rightful place as King.

 

Arwen

Race: Peredhel
Date of Birth: TA 241
Date of Death: FO 121
General Information: Arwen had lived in Rivendell and Lorien for about 3000 until in TA 2951 she met Aragorn and instantly fell deeply. They were married in FO 1.

 

Boromir

Race: Man of Gondor
Date of Birth: TA 2978
Date of Death: TA 3019
General Information: Son of Denethor II, brother of Faramir, Boromir set out to Rivendell to find the answer to a strange dream he shared with his brother. He was chosen by Elrond to be a member of the Fellowship and defended his companions during their battle in Moria. Later, he became tempted by the power of the One Ring and attempted to take from Frodo by force at Amon Hen. He instantly was sorry for this action and died shortly later defending Pippin and Merry from an orc-band.

 

Bilbo Baggins

Race: Hobbit
Date of Birth: TA 2890
Date of Death: ?
General Information: Bilbo was a Hobbit who lived in Bag-end in Hobbiton until pulled away from his comfortable hole by Gandalf and a company of thirteen Dwarves. The purpose of this adventure was for the Dwarves to recover the gold that Smaug, the dragon, had stolen. During this expedition Bilbo discovered the One Ring in a goblin tunnel. Gollum, a creature he found in the goblin caves, challenged Bilbo to a riddle contest and won with the question, "What have I got in my pocket?" Gollum, realizing that Biblo had found the Ring, his precious, tried to kill him, but Bilbo escaped. He returned home to his hole and then, on his 111th birthday, he suddenly disappeared. He left The Shire and lived in Rivendel. After the War of the Ring, Biblo set out with Frodo across the sea.

 

Denethor II

Race:Man of Gondor
Date of Birth: TA 2935
Date of Death: TA 3019
General Information: Denethor II was the last ruling Steward of Gondor. After he heard of his son's, Boromir's, death, all hope was lost from him. He eventually committed suicide and attempted to take Faramir with him, but Pippin, Gandalf, and Beregond saved Faramir.

 

Elrond

Race: Half-Evlen
Date of Birth:FA
Date of Death: N/A
General Information: In Arvenien he was born. Being Half-Elven, he chose to be Elven and so was bestowed with great wisdom. At the fall of Eregion Elrond founded Imladris (Rivendell). He married Celebrian and wore one of the three Elven Rings of Power. After the destruction of the One Ring, he left for the sea with Frodo, Bilbo, and Gandalf.

 

Eomer

Race: Man of Rohan
Date of Birth:TA 2991
Date of Death: FO 63
General Information: Before the War of the Ring he was Third Marchall of Riddermark. Just before King Theoden died he named Eomer his heir, and so Eomer became the 18 king of Rohan. Lothriel became his wife and with her he had one child, Elfwine.

 

Eowyn

Race: Lady of Rohan
Date of Birth: TA 2995
Date of Death: FO (???)
General Information: During the War of the Ring, Eowyn immediately fell in love of the Aragorn when she met him. She requested to come fight with him, but he refused. She left in disguise with the King's forces, sneaking Merry who also wanted to come. She slayed Captian of the Ringwraiths, along with Merry, and then later married Faramir.

 

Faramir

Race: Man of Gondor
Date of Birth: TA 2983
Date of Death: FO 82
General Information: Faramir had a gentle heart and, against his father's liking, respected and listened to Gandalf. He was a great warrior and was respected and loved by the soldiers. His was injured during the War of the Ring and fell under the Black Breath, but was saved by Aragorn's healing hands. During his recovery he met and fell in love with Eowyn. After the War had ended, Eowyn and Faramir were married.

 

Frodo Baggins

Race: Hobbit
Date of Birth: TA 2968
Date of Death: ?
General Information: Frodo, both of his parents dead, was adopted by Biblo. Frodo inherited nearly all of Bilbo's possessions after Biblo left to live in Rivendell, including Bag End and the Ring. Frodo was the Ringbearer during most of the War of the Ring. Once he had finally reached the Cracks of Doom, into which he would cast the Ring to destroy it, he was overwhelmed by the Power of the Ring, and claimed it for himself. Gollum can running up just then and fought furiously with Frodo. Gollum finally managed to gain the ring by cutting off the finger Frodo had worn it on, but just as he won his prize, he stumbled and fell into the Cracks, destroying himself and the Ring. Frodo left after the War to sail with Gandalf and Biblo to the sea.

 

Galadriel

Race: Noldo
Date of Birth: FA
Date of Death: N/A
General Information: In the Second Age, Galadriel found and became Queen of Lorien. Galadriel wore one of the three Elven Rings of Power, Nenya. She later, after the War, was permitted to return to Valinor and so sailed of with Elrond, Gandalf, Biblo, and Frodo.

 

Gandalf

Race: Maia
Date of Birth: ?
Date of Death: ?
General Information: He worked for nearly 2000 years trying to end the power of Sauron and is therefore named the person most responsible for Sauron's fall. He always liked Hobbits and respected them as being strong of heart and will. That is why he allowed Biblo to keep the Ring for some time after he found it. He later persuaded Bilbo to give it to his heir, Frodo. Gandalf then sent Frodo on to the Cracks of Doom to destroy the Ring. Gandalf traveled with Frodo as part of the Fellowship until his fall in Moria. his permitted to return to Middle-earth to finish his work there as Gandalf the White, instead of the Gray. He became the head of the White Council and evicted Saruman from the Council. After the end of the War, he went to sail with Biblo, Frodo, and Elrond.

 

Gimli

Race: Dwarf
Date of Birth: TA 2879
Date of Death: ?
General Information: Gimli, son of Gloin, was chosen to be part of the Fellowship in 3018. He aided the Fellowship much and became good friends with the Elf Legolas with whom he traveled with much all over Middle-earth. He led a dwarvish smiths in rebuilding the gates of Gondor and became Lord of the Glittering Caves. He later sailed over the sea with Legolas in FO 120.

 

Gollum/Smeagol

Race: Hobbit of the Stores
Date of Birth: TA 2430
Date of Death: TA 3019
General Information: By the time Biblo met Gollum in the goblin tunnels he had changed much in mind and body from what he originally was. He once looked like a Hobbit, but, after finding the Ring and claiming it as his own and living in the goblin caves, he became a skinny, bonny, nasty creature. The Ring consumed his mind and was ever present in his thoughts. During the War he guided Frodo and Sam, but deception and a way to re-claim the Ring was ever on his mind. He tried to feed Sam and Frodo to a giant spider, but they escaped. Later, when Frodo had decided to claim the Ring for himself, Gollum attacked him and bit off the finger Frodo had the Ring on. Just as he had gotten his Precious, he stumbled, fell backwards into the Cracks of Doom, and destroyed the Ring and himself.

 

Legolas

Race: Sindarin Elf
Date of Birth: ?
Date of Death: N/A
General Information: Legolas was chosen to represent the Elves in the Fellowship. He became a valuable member of the Fellowship of the Ring and saved the company many times over. During their journeys, Legolas became good friend of Gimli. In 120 FO, Legolas sailed out to sea with Gimli.

 

Meriadoc Brandybuck

Race: Hobbit
Date of Birth: TA 2982
Date of Death: FO 67
General Information: Merry was the close friend and of Frodo Baggins and Pippin and Samwise. He spied out Frodo's plan to leave The Shire and convinced Frodo to take him with him.

 

Peregrine Took

Race: Hobbit
Date of Birth: TA 2990
Date of Death: FO 65
General Information: Pippin, as he was called those close to him, was a longtime friend of Frodo Baggins. he became, by Gandalf's request, a member of the Fellowship of the Ring. He was sworn to the service of Gondor during his travels. He was saved by Gimli after nearly being crushed under the body of a mountain troll.

 

Samwise Gamgee

Race: Hobbit
Date of Birth: TA 2980
Date of Death: ?
General Information: Sam was the close friend and servant of Frodo Baggins. After believing his master dead while on the Borders of Mordor, Sam took the burden of the Ring for a short time. After rescuing Frodo in Mordor from the orcs, Sam returned the Ring. At age 82 he sailed over the sea as the last of the Ringbearers.

 

Saruman

Race: Maia
Date of Birth: ?
Date of Death: TA 3019
General Information: Saruman was once the wisest of and leader of the White Council and named Saruman the White. His area was the lore of the Ring, and during his studies he began to yearn for it himself. He eventually became consumed by the Power of the Ring and transformed Orthanc into a laughable mockery of Sauron's Barad-dur. After Gandalf became the White, he evicted Saruman from the Council. Saruman was driven out by the Ents, but permitted to live by Gandalf's order. Suruman was eventually killed by his servant, Grima Wormtongue, and hobbit archers.

 

Theoden, King

Race: Man of Rohan
Date of Birth: TA 2948
Date of Death: TA 3019
General Information: Theoden was the 17th king of Rohan and the last of his line. He had been under the spell of Grima Wormtongue and Saruman until Gandalf freed him. He then died in battle defending Gondor.
