Edward Smith

Edward Smith has been playing drums for 8 years (as of 2014), and has been involved in his local music community for 6 of those years. He worked with the BlackCat Music Shop’s School of Rock program for 5 years, working with countless new and veteran musicians from the very first variant until the fourth lineup of the band. He also helped start The Kids Don’t Stand a Chance, an alternative rock band with mild punk influences and performed original music with them for 2 years until having to leave to start college. In order to prevent a full-force disbanding of the group, The Drum Room co-founder Stefen Burns was brought into the band to help them continue on. After several more changes to the band, they are now the pop-punk band For The Better. Most recently, Edward has done freelance jazz work for the Morgan County Art Council’s Speakeasy Show in Berkeley Springs (WV) and is part of the New Earth Granary’s House Band, performing many classic rock hits as well as backing up acts during the New Earth Granary’s open mic nights. In between all of this, Edward has worked on & off for the praise band at First United Methodist Church (Berkeley Springs, WV).
