Playing With Your Food is an online website recipe book that is for beginner cooks! It teaches people who have no experience in the kitchen a thing or two about how to cook. It encourages people interested in cooking/baking to “play around” or experiment with food. Playing With Your Food provides the aspiring cook information about what you should keep in your kitchen to create marvelous dishes, helpful hints, tips, how-tos, tools, and delicious beginner-level recipes in many categories to cook and devour! I, Hannah Parker, have created this website because I am currently a beginner cook myself, learning from my family, mainly my mom, who is the BEST cook in the whole entire world. I want to share what I have learned to others interested in cooking!  Some of the beginner recipes that I have provided on my site are family recipes, and others are from recipes online or from chefs from the foodnetwork , and more that inspire me. These are meals that are special to me because they are the foods that I have grown up enjoying, and now that I am capable of cooking for myself, I am pleased to make these dishes for myself and show them off to all of you!
I also created this site because I believe that everyone should have some cooking skills under their belt; it is a skill that will keep you alive and healthy! Cooking for yourself also saves you money in the long run, just as long as you plan meals and make a reasonably priced grocery list. Making meals for yourself will hopefully make you want to eat healthier. Fast food and take-out food is not always the best choice when it comes to eating a well-balanced meal, and you also don’t know what is exactly in the food. When you are making meals from scratch, you know exactly what you’re eating, which gives you peace of mind.
Once you’ve made a few delicious dishes, you might want to and let’s hope you do want to cook for others! It’s your chance to show off and share your dish with family and friends. Cooking is also useful for pleasing your love interest. Surprising him or her with a dish made with love will improve or make your relationship closer. And, I believe, most importantly, cooking makes you feel good physically because you're eating a healthy satisfying meal, and mentally, knowing that you’ve created a successful dish! This website is a work in progress, so there may be more recipes in some categories than others. As I continue to “play with my food” or experiment, more recipes will be added.  So get started, "play around!" Peruse my site and try some of these easy -to -make delicious recipes!
