The purpose is for students to realize how much fat is in foods and to become conscious of the things they eat. The task asks the students to work cooperatively to figure out how much fat is in chocolate chip cookies.  I liked how this webquest had sections available for both students and teachers. This allows teachers to see how the webquest works for their classroom and how they can use it.
As for the students the webquest takes something many children like in cookies and allows them to connect a common snack to their own personal health.  I would certainly incorporate it into a health lesson on nutrition so students can see what they are putting into their bodies. Then, to extend the activity I might ask them to individually think of their favorite snack and report back to the class with the nutrional information about it.

The purpose is for students to learn ways to prevent illnesses. The task students are asked to perform is to work cooperativly to figure out ways to prevent getting sick . Students then must put together a presentation in order to relay their information to other students. I did not like the plainness to the webquest. There was no initial image or text that pulls you into it. I felt the activity could have been more specific or in depth.
This pariticualr task requires students to research information and then present their information. If I were to incorporate this into my classroom I may give students specific types of common illnesses to research and tell how they may prevent them. Also, possibly have them research what to do if you do get that particular illness.

Human Habitat Mission

The purpose is for students to learn about the body systems, how to maintain a healthy lifestyle and about habitats. The task is for students to act as aliens studying the human lifeform. In doing this students must learn about the different body systems and design a habitat for a human. I like the creativity behind this webquest, because it creates an initial interest. It is that interest that brings the student in and keeps them there to want to explore the task.
Also, this webquest asks students to do several different tasks that all relate to one purpose. This has students work cooperativtly in order to complete the task and has students make connections from one part to another.
