History

Never have so many people been connected by one road. In 1925 Route 50 went from Annapolis, MD to Wadsworth, NV. Over the next few decades it stretched its asphalt in both directions. Today Route 50 spans from Ocean City, MD to Sacramento, CA. The entire 3,073 miles of beautiful open road gives it a historic feel and connects people from one side of the country to the other. As I always say, “When I’m far from home and I see a Route 50 sign, I know that I’m not lost.” Over the years several benefits have been brought to Route 50. The “Elias Tembenis Walk for Autism” is a journey across Route 50 to help families struggling to pay for autism therapy and medical services. They are going to walk to Washington, DC in hopes of meeting with the president and asking for his help. As of now they have raised $45,000 just since San Francisco. The walk began in San Francisco on May 13th and will end in Washington, DC 10-12 months later. Good Luck Guys!
