Purpose/Task:  

    The purpose of this webquest is to have children research and learn about dental health and hygiene and why a healthy smile is important. The children will perform the task of researching information about a healthy smile and complete a provided worksheet. Secondly, in groups of three the children will make a poster about steps to achieve a healthy smile and present a poster and presentation to the class. 

General Impressions:

    I thought this webquest was the best one I have looked at yet. I thought that this was a prefect way to get kindergarteners through first graders to learn about dental hygiene. They get to make a life size poster and present they work to the class, young children love showing off their work. This webquest was simple and to the point but very effective and useful. WONDERFUL!

Recommendations for incorporating it in the classroom:

    I feel this would be very effective in any first grade classroom. The groups could make their poster and present them, then hang all of them on the wall around the room. Then the whole class can have a group discussion on all the facts and why dental hygiene is so important and should be a life long habit.
