GREETING CARDS
Have you ever been sick, had a birthday, had a loss, or baby. More than likely you have experienced one of these life-changing events. The greeting card is a billion dollar company, which benefits from the emotion of love. Love propels us to sit in a store and read through each greeting card trying to find the perfect one, which conveys what we are trying to tell someone, with less words and fancier graphics. It is love that drives us to have a keepsake box with cards for years. So we can remark on the feeling of love we experienced when the card was first given.
Who can forget that first Valentine’s Day card we received from a first love. Or the first piece of folded piece of loose-leaf paper saying “I love mommey” in bright red crayon we received from our 3 year old.
Anyone who has tried to mail something during Mother’s Day or the Christmas Holiday season knows the blockage caused by the greeting card industry. Greeting cards have are created for many facets of our lives today. Upon shopping in the store, I came across a card, which was aimed at “becoming a lady”.
So whether you are in love with your parents, or significant other; there are greeting cards for every occasion.
