Kristin Kaineg earned her BA in Graphic Design from American University and her MFA in Graphic and Interactive Design from Tyler School of Art at Temple University. Her professional experiences include working as a designer in both small and medium size firms where she gained experience creating publications, web sites, direct mail, and brand identities. Following graduate school, she accepted a position at the University of North Carolina Charlotte where she split her time between teaching and computer lab management. She came to realize that her interests lie more with igniting students' passion for design rather than fixing computers. In 2005, she joined the faculty at Shepherd University where she coordinates the Graphic Design concentration and teaches a variety of courses from Typography to Web Site Design and Professional Practices. She continues her design practice today specializing in brand identity and development and collaborates closely with clients to create effective design solutions.
