This website is dedicated to National Parks in the United States, and Shenandoah National Park in Virginia in particular.
The information on this site is both factual and opinionated. Shenandoah National Park is one of my absolute favorite places in the world. I have been visiting the park since before I was born. When my mom was eight months pregnant with me, she was hiking trails in the park. The tradition didn’t stop after I was born. Until I was old enough to walk the trails on my own, my dad would carry me. Every year since then, I have visited the park to camp, hike, and take part in the activities offered. So while, there are legitimate facts on this website, I will also be contributing my personal opinions.
“If you drive to, say, Shenandoah National Park, or the Great Smoky Mountains, you’ll get some appreciation for the scale and beauty of the outdoors. When you walk into it, then you see it in a completely different way. You discover it in a much slower, more majestic sort of way.” – Bill Bryson
