There
is no known cause of why certain people get soft tissue sarcoma just
like with most types of cancer, however, it does affect slightly more
men than women. Men are about 1.5 times more likely to have this
disease than women. There are many different types of soft tissue
sarcoma and any age person can have it. An older adult is more
likely to have it, but there are cases where children and adolescents
have been diagnosed with it.
