Bid for Hardware
All of the equipment requirements were sent out for bids. Jason Kerr called, e-mailed, and faxed different suppliers to obtain prices. When the bids came back, they were looked over and checked. The bids were checked for the equipment cost, and if the suppliers would be able to deliver the equipment. Some of the places from which bids were received were Anicom Multimedia Wiring System, Anixter, and Bell Atlantic.
After the bids were received, a supplier was chosen. Then the process of placing purchase orders (PO) for the equipment began.
