Everyone, at any age, experiences rapid eye movement. Also known as REM, rapid eye movement occurs during stages of deep sleep. It is an important part in maintaining a person’s health. Laboratory testing has shown that if a person is deprived of reaching REM sleep the person becomes unwell. Within only a few days, unpleasant symptoms such as depression, nausea, irritability and general disorientation are expected. |
