"I have to admit that my first experience wasn't the best one. I was only fifteen and a neighbor said that he had a friend that would do it for me. I'll never forget that I told my mom I had to stay late at school for a group project. What she didn't know is that I was making an impulsive, stupid decision alone. Unfortunately, when I got to the oh-so-comforting (sarcasm) dark, cold room I felt too pressured to turn around. What I didn't know is that this person had never really tattooed before... not professionally anyway. I got a small butterfly behind my ear which now looks like someone squirted Sharpie on me. It was very irritated and itchy for quite a few months after I got it, too...and no, not the normal itch that comes along with it-- it was clear that the needles were not clean. Thankfully, I didn't catch anything. LESSON LEARNED!" -Jasmine L.
