NY Ink

NY Ink is a reality-television show that airs on TLC. The shop is located in New York, New York (obviously) and is hosted by Ami James and his new shop called the Wooster St. Social Club. The show premiered in June 2011 after Miami Ink ended.

 

Ami James wanted to own a shop of his own legally and start on his own, so he decided to move back to New York much like Kat Von D did when she left to go back to LA.

 

Ami narrates the show throughout and starts his shows by saying "I'm Ami James and I'm a tattoo artist. New York is the greatest city in the world. And to compete here, you have to elevate the game. So I've hand-picked the finest tattoo artists around. Because I don't want the best tattoo shop in New York, I want the best shop in the world. There's millions of stories in New York City, and our job is to tell them all... in ink."
