REU-ESE 2012
The Summer 2012 offering of The University of Alabama (UA) Research Experience for Undergraduates in Empirical Software Engineering (REU-ESE) spans 9 weeks (May 30 to August 1) and offers research and professional development opportunities for 10 undergraduate students. Available research projects share the theme of empirical software engineering and span several exciting areas of inquiry, including text retrieval based feature location, code clone evolution, software engineering techniques and tools for computational science & engineering, and open-source developer communities.
REU-ESE participants will conduct empirical studies. That is, they first will use observation to collect and analyze data and experience and then will synthesize that data to discover, characterize, and evaluate relationships between software development artifacts, techniques, and tools.
Details about REU-ESE 2012, including an online application, can be found at: http://reu.cs.ua.edu/
The application deadline is March 15, 2012.
