I must not be distressed by the small impact
i might have as i try to interrupt the structures which oppress and distress.
My intentions might result in modest gains, or they might result in no visible
change. However, even the smallest spurt of water can be seen as it arcs up into
the air, and the drops will make a splash, regardless of how small. The sight,
the sound, and the resulting ripples hold the possiblity for changing those who
witness the attempt.
Sometimes it is more important to
try than to succeed. This is what critical pedagogy says to me, i
must attempt to make the change. If i do nothing, things will not change.
I must be mindful and reflective, so that i am aware of the impact of my
attempts. But first, I MUST TRY!
