Equipment

 

The following is a list of general affordable equipment that is necessary for any hunting experience. A backpack or shoulder back is the easiest way to store the equipment.

 

Notebook and Pen – write down everything that happened and double check it with photographic or video evidence

Flashlight

Batteries – ghosts tend to drain batteries with there presence, bring as many as possible

Watch – times that events occur should be noted so that it can be compared the next time the location is investigated

Compass – a basic compass is acceptable, ghost affect the magnetic field, so when a ghost is present the compass needle will move or spin all the way around

Camera – to gather photographic (photo) evidence of ghosts

Tape recorder – used to gather ghost voices

Thermometer – locations tend to be cold in a ghosts presence, it is helpful to measure the temperature before and during the ghost hunt

Walkie-talkies – to communicate with other members of your group about paranormal happenings

Salt – used for protection, it can be sprinkled around the investigator to provide a barrier

Candles

Cross – a large one works best in case of vampires

Holy Water – used for protection, works like salt; can be made simply by blessing the water

Wooden Stake – used to kill vampires

First aid kit

Water and snacks
