Relating to Ghosts that Interact with the Living
A Gray Lady is ghost of a woman that has died waiting
for her lover to return or who has been murdered by her
lover. She is usually dressed in gray and typically has a
mournful expression.
Phantom Travelers are ghosts of humans or animals
that haunt a specific road, vehicle, or path. A phantom
hitchhiker is a ghost that asks a driver for a ride.
Then the ghost suddenly disappears from the car. Once
researched, the driver realizes that the ghost had died on
that date or in the area that the driver picked up the
hitchhiker.
An Etimmu is a violent ghost who intends to bring
misfortune, death, or disease to the living.

Relating to Ghosts that Do Not Interact with the Living
A Residual Haunting is a shift in time where the
person is experiencing a different time or set of events
that they have no previous experience with.
Postmortem Apparitions are images of a person that
appear to the living shortly after that person has died.
Classes of Ghosts that
are Typically a Living Person
An Out of Body Experience is where an individual
projects their astral body, which some people
refer to as the soul, to another location.
The person can sometimes experience everything that is
around them. Other times the person has either a vague
memory of what happened or no recollection of what occurred.
A Crisis Apparition is an out of body experience
where the person projects their astral body at the time of
death to another person, usually a relative or friend.
A Poltergeist haunting is typically a series of
violent and non-violent acts that is thought to be caused by
the subconscious mind of someone in the household that is
usually undergoing emotional and psychological stress. The
individual creating the haunting is usually a teen and
almost always is unaware that they are the cause.
