“It was most likely caused by some reflection or other
photo-related issue, given that there’s no connection to any
experience, past or present, of a ghost or haunting. But,
there’s no way to be sure.”
--Auerbach
Photography is the best way to discover a ghost. The most
common ghost caught on camera is the orb. However,
ghosts also appear on camera the same as individuals would
perceive them.
The hardest part about ghost photography is determining a
legitimate orb. An orb is a circle or sphere that shows
up lighter or in a different color than the background. It
can be off-white, yellow, blue, or red. They are most
commonly found in battlefields, cemeteries, or places that
large groups of people congregate. Orbs tend to concentrate
around a person or object.
Dust on dry nights and moisture in the air on wet or humid
nights can generate an orb like representation when a camera
is flashed. This is most common in digital cameras. The
better quality the camera is that is being used, the less
likely flaws are found in the photographs.
All photographs should be carefully inspected after
the investigation to make sure that all ghosts or other
beings were found in the photographs. It can be very time
consuming, but upon closer look, an investigator may find
the best photograph of the investigation.
