We offer a B.A. in Spanish, a B.A. in Spanish Education & a M.A.T. in Spanish Education 

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE:
 

• We are the only major that requires a study abroad component in order to graduate.  We offer our own in house study abroad program but many of our students have opted to study abroad using the study abroad office on campus and have then taken a semester or two in Spain or Argentina.
• We believe that language acquisition does not only occur in the classroom.  We foster a Spanish Honor society: Sigma Delta Pi (Lambda Psi chapter), a Spanish Club, theatre and film gatherings, facebook groups for our study abroad and for networking as a post graduate.

SHEPHERD UNIVERSITY PRESENTS ITS 7TH ANNUAL SPANISH IMMERSION PROGRAM
Our next study abroad is Costa Rica 2011 from July 3rd to July 25th plus a 4 day extention. 
If you sign-up for Summer II classes, you can get up to six (6) credit hours in Spanish (tuition extra).  You will learn about the culture, economy and history of Costa Rica.  You will sample the local food, zip-line over the rainforest, learn about the thousands of butterflies, examine the turtles, and see Capuchin monkeys in action.  You may even be able to catch some rays on the Pacific or Atlantic coast.  You will make friends for life in this adventure of a lifetime!
Payments: Deposit of $150 by December 1 (non refundable) then installments starting January 15, 2011.  Full payment expected by May 15th, 2011.
