What I'm Doing Now
I am a Professor in the Institute of Environmental and Physical Sciences
at Shepherd University, and the university's
astrophysicist overseeing the Shepherd University Observatory.
I teach numerous courses in astronomy, physics, and physical science. My primary research areas are the large-scale structure of the Universe, galaxy evolution,
and the history of astronomy/astronomy education. I am also a member of the American Council on Education Fellows Class of 2015-16.
I currently serve in a number of additional capacities, including:
Hub Leader, Pulsar Search Collaboratory
Past-President, West Virginia Academy of Science
Faculty Representative, Shepherd University Board of Governors
Executive Committee Member, Shepherd University Foundation
Alternate Faculty Representative, West Virginia Advisory Council of Faculty
My office hours during the academic year are MWF 9a-11a.
