I am a Professor in the Institute of Environmental and Physical Sciences
at Shepherd University, and the university's
astronomer overseeing the Shepherd University Observatory.
I teach numerous courses in astronomy, physics, and physical science. My primary research areas are the large-scale structure of the Universe, galaxy evolution,
and the history of astronomy/astronomy education.
I currently serve in a number of additional capacities, including:
President, West Virginia Academy of Science
Faculty Representative, Shepherd University Board of Governors
Alternate Faculty Representative, West Virginia Advisory Council of Faculty
My office hours during the academic year are MWF 9a-11a. If you need to meet with me outside of these times, you will need to make an appointment.
