In 1987 Buick made a 231 cubic inch turbocharged and intercooled V6, that produced a highly underrated 245 HP @ 4400 RPM, and 355 ft-lbs of torque at 2000 RPM. In 1987, Buick produced 20,193 Grand Nationals marking the final year of Buick dominating GM's performance divisions. In the 1980's These Buicks were the fastest production cars produced in America. Even today these barbarians are leaving trails of rubber and smoke at stoplights and Dragstrips across the country.
