Rauch Mathematics Scholarship

GENERAL INFORMATION:

The Carl Rauch Scholarships began in the fall of 2000 because of a generous bequest from retired mathematics faculty member Mr. and Mrs. Carl K Rauch to the Shepherd College Foundation which established an endowed scholarships. Subject to satisfactory academic performance, the awards to freshmen are renewable for three more years. The amount of a freshman's scholarship is generally between $1,800 to $2,000 per year.

CRITERIA FOR SELECTION:

Scholastic ability (including high school grade point average, and either ACT or SAT test scores), extra curricular activities, leadership potential (combined with character and sportsmanship), form the criteria by which selection is made.

Only an academically motivated student will qualify for this scholarship.
Applications and all information must be by April of the academic year award..

INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING:

Apply for admission to Shepherd University as a degree-seeking student.
Declare a major in mathematics or a secondary teaching field concentration in mathematics.
Provide the Admissions Office with a copy of your high school transcripts.
